Punjab Police has suspended DSP Babandeep Singh after serious allegations of misconduct surfaced. The complaint stated that Singh misbehaved with law students during a course at Patiala Law University. University authorities had formally reported the incident to the DGP.
Investigations confirmed the complaint was valid. The incident occurred between 17 November and 22 November 2025 during the course at the university. DSP Babandeep had recently been transferred from Jalandhar to Hoshiarpur.
Following the inquiry, the DGP office issued an official order suspending him. The suspension aims to maintain strict accountability and uphold professional standards within the police force.
