The fake marriage case in Bihar has taken a serious turn after Assistant Jailer Aditya Kumar was held for cheating and assault. The woman at the center of the fake marriage case said Aditya tricked her with a promise of support and later claimed to marry her in a temple.
She said they lived together for three years at his government quarters. She also said he pushed her out of the house along with her children. In anger and fear, she went to the Superintendent of Police office and slit her wrist.
She later said Aditya invited her to his new posting during Diwali. There, she found him close to another woman. When she questioned him, he assaulted her on November 30. She then filed an FIR for harassment, assault, and threats. She said Aditya refused to accept her as his wife and asked her to settle the matter with money.
Aditya’s mother filed a counter-complaint. She said the woman is married to someone else and wants money from their family. Police teams are checking both complaints and collecting statements.
