A bomb threat at the Rajasthan High Court’s Jaipur bench created chaos on Tuesday morning. Judges stopped all ongoing hearings, and lawyers, litigants, and court staff rushed toward the exits as security officials ordered an immediate evacuation. Witnesses said panic spread within seconds as people abandoned files and belongings to move out.
This was the third threat in 72 hours and the fourth in a month, heightening tension among court staff and advocates. Jaipur Police Commissionerate teams, the Bomb Disposal Squad, and the Quick Response Team began a thorough search of all courtrooms, chambers, parking areas, and administrative blocks.
Bar Council members expressed anger over repeated threats disrupting judicial work. They demanded strong action and a permanent solution to ensure safety. Police said they are treating the threat with full seriousness while the search operation continues.
