Telangana has unveiled a new plan to create ten experiential tourism clusters that will offer curated and meaningful travel experiences. These zones aim to showcase the State’s culture, nature, crafts, and heritage while supporting local livelihoods.
The clusters will be built around themes such as eco-tourism, adventure trails, artisanal craft villages, historical circuits, and spiritual routes. The focus is on giving travellers deeper engagement rather than routine sightseeing.
Tourism officials said the zones will include guided activities, better visitor facilities, local food centres, and digital information systems. The government plans to work with private operators and community entrepreneurs to ensure high-quality services.
The initiative is expected to help rural and semi-urban areas by promoting homestays, handicraft sales, and local produce. Training will be offered to residents so they can work as guides, hosts, artisans, and cultural performers.
Detailed project reports are under preparation, and the rollout will happen in phases. The State believes this new model will strengthen tourism and position Telangana as a leading destination for immersive travel experiences.
