AP Minister Narayana assured people that Amaravati is safe from floods, rejecting false propaganda. He said the West Bypass Bridge had a 25-foot channel for water flow, but silt blocked it, causing backflow.
Officials quickly breached the road to release excess water and prevent damage. Narayana stressed that Amaravati’s plan was designed with international experts, including engineers from the Netherlands, to ensure strong flood resistance.
He criticized those creating panic about Amaravati’s future, saying citizens would oppose any attempts to stall development. Confident in the city’s design, he emphasized that Amaravati can handle heavy floods and continue its progress as a modern capital.
