Dilip Kumar MLC elections have become a major topic in Bihar politics. Student leader Dilip Kumar is again entering the race, and his supporters say the Dilip Kumar MLC elections will highlight youth issues that he has raised for years.
Dilip Kumar will contest from the Darbhanga Graduate Constituency in the 2026 Bihar Legislative Council polls. He asked graduates from Darbhanga, Madhubani, Begusarai, and Samastipur to register as voters before the deadline.
He came into the spotlight during the BPSC agitation. He led many protests against paper leaks and exam irregularities. Police detained him several times, including during the 70th BPSC protest in Patna.
Last year, he contested the Bahadurpur Assembly seat as an independent candidate but received only 1,778 votes. After this defeat, he decided to shift his focus to the MLC elections.
Dilip says he has spent 10 years raising student and youth issues on the streets. He believes these concerns do not get attention inside the House. This is why he wants to enter the council and speak for young people.
He remains popular among student groups, especially after the BPSC movement made him a known face across Bihar.
