The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has officially announced 1,715 vacancies for Assam Police Constable Bharti 2025. Candidates eager to join the force can start applying from December 16. The online registration window will remain open until January 16, 2026.
The recruitment covers two branches. The Armed Branch (AB) has 663 posts, while the Unarmed Branch (UB) has 1,052 posts. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 depending on the post and experience.
Age eligibility is calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old. Reserved category candidates get age relaxations: SC/ST by five years and OBC by three years. Education requirements vary: AB applicants must have passed Class 10 from a recognized institute, while UB applicants need Class 12.
The selection process includes Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and a written exam. The written test will assess arithmetic, general English, reasoning, Assam’s history, geography, politics, general knowledge, and current affairs. There is no negative marking. Qualified candidates will be called for a viva.
