The India Meteorological Department has issued a big alert for people across Telangana. The department advised residents to stay cautious for the next three days. Cold weather conditions continue to intensify across the state. Moreover, temperatures keep falling steadily in many districts. As a result, winter conditions have become severe in both rural and urban areas.
According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, single-digit temperatures were recorded in as many as 28 districts on Wednesday. In addition, five districts reported temperatures below 12 degrees Celsius. These readings indicate a sharp drop compared to seasonal averages. Therefore, people experienced harsh cold conditions during early mornings and late nights.
Sangareddy district recorded the lowest temperature in the state. Kohir mandal reported a minimum temperature of just 5.8 degrees Celsius. Apart from Sangareddy, districts like Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, and Medak faced intense cold conditions. Officials confirmed that cold winds worsened the situation in these areas.
The weather department warned that cold conditions may intensify further over the next three days. Hence, people were advised to take preventive measures. The department urged citizens to avoid early morning exposure. Farmers and elderly people were asked to remain extra careful during this period.
