A double murder in Siwan has shaken the district and created fear among local residents. The double murder in Siwan came to light near the Pipra Chanwarke Dadyan bridge under the GB Nagar police station limits.
According to police, two youths were brutally killed and their bodies were tied inside sacks. The killers dumped the sacks near the bridge to hide the crime.
The incident surfaced when people passing through the area noticed a strong foul smell. They immediately informed the police.
A police team reached the spot and opened the sacks. Inside, officers found the bodies of two young men. The scene caused panic among nearby villagers.
Police have sent both bodies for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. As of now, the identities of the victims remain unknown.
Senior officials said an investigation is underway. Police are checking missing person reports and scanning nearby CCTV footage.
Local residents have demanded quick arrests and strict punishment for those responsible. Security has been increased in the area to prevent further incidents.
