Cold Wave Alert in Telangana: Four Districts to Face Freezing Conditions
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert in Telangana for December 15, warning residents of very cold conditions in select areas. The alert affects Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Sangareddy, and Medak districts.
According to the IMD bulletin, cold wave conditions are likely to occur in isolated pockets of these districts. Residents are advised to take precautions, particularly the elderly, children, and people with health conditions.
Local authorities have been asked to monitor temperatures and provide support where needed. Schools and public offices in the affected areas are expected to make arrangements to protect people from the chill.
The IMD also recommended avoiding early morning travel, wearing warm clothing, and ensuring adequate heating at homes. Farmers were advised to take protective measures for livestock and crops.
This alert is part of the ongoing winter weather pattern in Telangana, which has brought unusually low temperatures in several regions over the past week. Residents are urged to stay updated on weather reports.
