Chandrashekhar Yadav Extortion Case: Fresh Allegations Trigger Political Storm

Chandrashekhar Yadav extortion case linked to Madhepura police investigation and contractor complaint

The Chandrashekhar Yadav extortion case has created a fresh controversy in Bihar politics. A case was registered at Sadar police station in Madhepura against RJD MLA Prof. Chandrashekhar Yadav and his associate Alok Kumar Munna on Monday.

According to the complaint, a contractor working under the AA Patna (JV) firm accused the MLA and his representatives of demanding ₹1 crore as extortion. The contractor also alleged that he was threatened with death and that work was obstructed repeatedly. Due to these threats, he has sought police protection.

The application claimed that pressure was applied from the start of the project. Threats were allegedly made to stop the work and frame false cases if money was not paid. Still, the contractor continued the work under official guidelines and local administration supervision.

Later, an investigation team was formed at the district level on the instructions of senior ministers. The inquiry reportedly found the construction quality to be satisfactory.

Responding to the Chandrashekhar Yadav extortion case, the MLA denied all charges. He said the cases were part of a political conspiracy and stated that he would not be intimidated. He also said his protest would continue until proper drain construction is ensured.

Police officials confirmed that the matter will be investigated.
