Assam Rifles peace Arunachal efforts received strong praise from the state Governor on Tuesday. Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) KT Parnaik said Assam Rifles has become the backbone of peace and stability in the state.
He made these remarks while presenting the Governor’s Citation to the 11th Battalion of Assam Rifles in Itanagar. The citation was received by Battalion Commandant Colonel Vivek Tripathi along with Subedar Major Lekh Raj and Rifleman Neelesh Kumar.
The Governor appreciated the battalion’s professional excellence and effective counter-insurgency operations. He also praised its timely support to civil authorities and local communities. He said continuous vigilance and strong security measures helped create a safe environment for development.
Parnaik congratulated all ranks of the battalion on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. He expressed confidence that the unit would continue to uphold high standards of service and dedication.
The Governor highlighted the importance of goodwill activities carried out by Assam Rifles. He said these efforts strengthened trust between security forces and local communities.
Referring to the national vision, he said the disciplined work of armed forces supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. The defence spokesperson added that Assam Rifles continues to serve with courage, resilience and a strong humanitarian approach.
