How To Check And Correct Name In West Bengal Draft Voter List has become a key concern after the Election Commission removed over 58 lakh names during a Special Intensive Revision (SIR). According to official data, around 24 lakh voters were marked dead, 19 lakh relocated, 12 lakh missing, and 1.3 lakh duplicate. The revision aims to clean electoral rolls before the upcoming Assembly elections expected next year.

Voters who believe their names were wrongly deleted can file claims and objections. The draft voter list can be checked online at voters.eci.gov.in or the West Bengal CEO website. Citizens can also verify details at their polling station through the Booth-Level Officer or use the ECINET mobile app with their EPIC number.

If a name is missing, voters must submit Form 6 along with Annexure IV and valid identity and address proof. For spelling errors, age mismatches, or incorrect personal details, Form 8 should be used. Applications can be submitted online, via the app, or offline through the BLO.

The claims and objections window opens on December 16 and closes on January 15, 2026. The final electoral roll will be published on February 14, 2026. Draft rolls have also been released in Rajasthan, Goa, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep.
