Peddapalli MP Rides Self-Designed Electric Bike to Parliament to Highlight Delhi Air Pollution
Peddapalli MP G. Venkata Ramana Reddy on Tuesday rode a self-designed electric bike to Parliament to draw attention to the worsening air pollution in Delhi. The MP said his initiative was aimed at promoting the use of clean and eco-friendly transport while highlighting the urgent need to reduce vehicular emissions in the national capital.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Reddy said the electric bike was designed to be cost-effective and energy-efficient, making it suitable for daily commuting. He added that public representatives should lead by example by adopting sustainable practices and encouraging citizens to shift to non-polluting modes of transport.
The MP expressed concern over the severe air quality levels in Delhi, especially during winter, and called for stronger measures to control pollution. He urged the government to promote electric vehicles, improve public transport and raise public awareness about environmental protection. His ride to Parliament drew attention from fellow lawmakers and passers-by, sparking discussions on clean mobility solutions.
