The incident occurred in Subedar Bigha village under the Telpa police station limits. On Tuesday afternoon, the woman stepped out of her house for routine work. However, she did not return home by evening, which worried her family.
Soon after, villagers spotted her lying injured near her residence. Her relatives rushed her to a nearby health centre. Doctors referred her to Arwal Sadar Hospital because of her critical condition. Later, doctors shifted her to a private hospital in Patna, where she died during treatment.
Meanwhile, her son revealed disturbing details. He said his mother was found covered in blood. A blood-stained stick lay near the spot. Moreover, the family noticed signs that suggested sexual assault. They alleged that unknown attackers raped and then killed her.
Following this, police registered a case and launched a full investigation. Forensic teams and a dog squad inspected the area. Officials said they will act strictly once they identify the culprits.
