Patna is facing cold during day like night in Bihar, as winter conditions intensified sharply on Friday. People experienced biting cold even in the afternoon, and cold during day like night in Bihar became a common feeling across the city as temperatures dropped suddenly.
The weather department reported that Patna’s maximum temperature fell by nearly 6 degrees Celsius within a day. The gap between day and night temperatures has reduced a lot. Because of this, afternoons now feel almost as cold as late evenings.
Dense fog covered many parts of Patna during early morning and late evening hours. Visibility dropped on roads, which caused trouble for drivers and commuters. Other districts in Bihar also reported similar foggy and cold conditions.
Meteorologists said cold winds from the north are the main reason behind this sudden change. Weak sunlight during the day added to the discomfort. Elderly people and children felt the cold more strongly.
The weather department warned that such conditions may continue for the next few days. People have been advised to wear warm clothes and avoid unnecessary travel during early mornings and nights. Schools and offices are closely monitoring the situation as winter tightens its grip on Bihar.
