HYDRAA Reclaims 20 Acres of Government Land in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed nearly 20 acres of government land in different parts of the city following a special enforcement drive on Friday. Officials said the land had been encroached upon for several years and was being used for unauthorised constructions and commercial activities.

The action was taken after detailed verification of land records and field inspections. HYDRAA teams, with support from revenue and police officials, carried out demolition and eviction operations to clear the encroachments. Authorities said the reclaimed land belonged to various government departments and would be protected from future encroachments.

HYDRAA officials stated that the drive was part of an ongoing effort to safeguard public assets and ensure compliance with land-use regulations. They added that similar operations would continue across Hyderabad to retrieve government land and prevent illegal occupation. The agency also warned that strict legal action would be taken against those found encroaching on public property.
