Hyderabad witnessed a horrific incident on Saturday when Mahendar Reddy killed his pregnant wife after a heated argument. The 21-year-old victim, Swathi, was five months pregnant at the time of the murder.
Police said the accused chopped her body into pieces, dumping several parts in a nearby river while keeping the headless torso at their residence. Shocked neighbors noticed suspicious activity and alerted the authorities.
A police team rushed to the spot and discovered the torso. The remains were sent for forensic examination, while a search is underway to recover the missing parts from the river.
