Bandi Sanjay Urges Telangana Govt. to Release Funds to All Gram Panchayats Within a Month
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay on Tuesday urged the State government to release funds for all Gram Panchayats within a month, emphasising the need for timely financial support to strengthen grassroots governance. Speaking from Karimnagar, he stressed that Panchayati Raj institutions play a crucial role in implementing development projects and welfare schemes at the village level.
Mr. Sanjay pointed out that delays in fund allocation hamper essential activities such as sanitation, road maintenance, drinking water supply, and other community development works. He urged the government to ensure that every Gram Panchayat receives its entitled funds promptly to facilitate smooth functioning and benefit rural residents.
He also highlighted that adequate financial resources are vital for empowering local bodies and fostering participatory governance. The BJP leader called on the authorities to prioritise fund disbursement and ensure transparency in the allocation process, so that Gram Panchayats can effectively carry out their developmental responsibilities across Telangana.
