The Rupak Sahani murder case has shocked Samastipur and raised serious law-and-order concerns. Rupak Sahani, a 23-year-old BJP leader, was shot dead inside his shop on Wednesday evening. The Rupak Sahani murder case has triggered political anger and public fear.
According to eyewitnesses, two men arrived on a motorcycle and entered Sahani’s photocopy shop in the Shadipur Ghat area. They fired several shots at close range and fled immediately. As a result, Sahani collapsed on the spot.
Local people rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, Sahani’s family blamed the liquor mafia for the killing. They said he had openly opposed illegal liquor sales in the area. Moreover, the family claimed he had received threats for months and had asked the police for protection several times.
After the incident, senior police officials reached the spot and began an investigation. They formed a special team and started checking CCTV footage. Later, police detained two suspects for questioning.
Due to alleged negligence, authorities suspended the local station officer. Therefore, BJP leaders demanded strict punishment and better security for party workers.
The murder has increased tension in the town and renewed questions about public safety.
