The Commercial Vehicles Ban in Patna will remain in force on Ashok Rajpath, Gayghat, and the Gandhi Maidan area during Christmas and two other busy days. Patna traffic police announced the restriction to manage heavy crowds and reduce traffic jams in key parts of the city.
According to officials, commercial vehicles such as auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, and other goods vehicles will not be allowed on December 25, 27, and 28. Large gatherings are expected due to Christmas celebrations and the Saras Mela at Gandhi Maidan.
Vehicles coming from Danapur side towards Gandhi Maidan will be stopped at the Police Line T-point. Autos arriving from Gayghat through Ashok Rajpath will be diverted near Kargil Chowk and sent back. Entry from Exhibition Road towards Gandhi Maidan will also remain restricted.
Traffic police have issued similar diversions on SP Verma Road, Buddha Marg, and nearby routes. Officials have urged drivers to follow instructions and use alternate roads to avoid delays.
The move aims to ensure smooth movement for pedestrians and maintain law and order during the festive period.
