Vajpayee-Era Reforms Continue to Drive India’s Development: Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that people across the country were continuing to enjoy the long-term benefits of the economic and governance reforms initiated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Addressing a programme in Amaravati, Mr. Naidu described the reforms as the central pillar of India’s development journey, which laid a strong foundation for sustained growth, infrastructure expansion, and private sector participation.
He said Vajpayee’s vision encouraged transparency, decentralisation, and public-private collaboration, enabling faster delivery of services and large-scale projects. Defending the establishment of medical colleges under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the Chief Minister said the approach helped bridge gaps in healthcare infrastructure while reducing the financial burden on the government.
Mr. Naidu asserted that reforms-driven development was essential to meet the aspirations of a growing population and ensure quality education, healthcare, and employment. He called for continued policy innovation to build on the legacy of Vajpayee’s reforms and accelerate inclusive growth.
