Rabri Devi residence filled with gold, silver, cash claims JDU leader

A new political controversy has erupted in Bihar after a senior JDU leader alleged that the Rabri Devi residence filled with gold, silver, cash claims JDU leader while speaking about a government bungalow in Patna.

JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar claimed that the official residence at 10 Circular Road, recently vacated by former chief minister Rabri Devi, may contain a secret vault. He alleged that the vault could hold gold, silver, large amounts of cash, and important property papers.

The leader questioned why items were shifted from the bungalow late at night. He also demanded strict supervision of the premises to ensure nothing is removed unlawfully. According to him, the public has the right to know what was kept inside a government property.

Rabri Devi lived in the bungalow for nearly two decades after her tenure as chief minister. The state government recently reassigned the residence, asking her to move to another official accommodation.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal strongly rejected the allegations. Party leaders called the claims baseless and politically motivated. They accused the ruling party of trying to defame Rabri Devi and her family.

The issue has added fuel to the ongoing political clash between the JDU and RJD. It has also revived debates over accountability, transparency, and the use of government properties in Bihar.
