Akal Takht Enforces Sikh Code by issuing strict new directives on religious practices. Acting Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj announced the decisions after a meeting of all five Sikh Sahibans at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar.

The Sikh clergy unanimously ruled that Anand Karaj ceremonies will be held only inside gurdwaras. The Jathedar said ceremonies in hotels, parks, or commercial venues violate Sikh maryada. He stressed that no exceptions will be allowed in the future.

The Akal Takht also banned taking the sacred saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to any wedding venue. Jathedar Gargaj said this practice weakens religious discipline and disrespects Sikh traditions.

In another key decision, the Sikh supreme body imposed a complete ban on AI-generated films or videos depicting Sikh Gurus. The Jathedar said artificial portrayals harm religious values and confuse future generations. He added that technology must not override faith and tradition.

The Akal Takht warned of strict action against ragis or jathas who ignore these orders. Authorities will act firmly against any violation.

Jathedar Gargaj reaffirmed that Sri Akal Takht Sahib remains committed to protecting Sikh maryada. He said the institution will continue to take strong decisions to safeguard Sikh beliefs and practices.
