DJ Ban in Muslim Marriages has been formally announced in Kosikalan town of Uttar Pradesh. The decision came after a community panchayat meeting held in Mohalla Nikas. Muslim elders unanimously agreed to prohibit DJs, bands, and fireworks during wedding ceremonies.

Community leaders declared that Maulanas will not perform nikah if DJ music plays at any Muslim wedding. The ban also applies to weddings held at marriage homes and commercial venues. Elders said loud music violates religious values and disrupts social harmony.

The decision followed a detailed discussion during a Mahapanchayat organised by the Qureshi community through the Eidgah Committee. Members concluded that DJs and bands oppose Islamic traditions and create unnecessary social pressure.

The panchayat also announced strict penalties. Families violating the rule will face a fine of ₹11,000. Community leaders warned of social boycott for repeated violations.

The directive further states that even outside Maulanas cannot conduct nikah ceremonies if DJs are present. Any cleric ignoring the rule will also face penalties from the community.

Residents said the decision aims to promote simplicity and discipline in marriages. Community elders believe this step will reduce expenses and preserve religious dignity. The Kosikalan decision has sparked wide discussion across the region.
