CM Bhajanlal Sharma to Welcome New Year at Govardhan

CM Bhajanlal Sharma Govardhan visit will mark the beginning of the New Year with prayers and religious observance. After a demanding and politically intense year, the Rajasthan Chief Minister has chosen Giriraj Govardhan as his spiritual destination.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister will reach Poonchri Ka Lautha and attend local programmes. He will stay there overnight. On the morning of January 1, 2026, Sharma will perform a barefoot parikrama of Giriraj Govardhan Maharaj like an ordinary devotee. He will seek blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being across Rajasthan.

During the parikrama, the Chief Minister will follow traditional rituals. He will also apply the sacred dust of Braj on his forehead as a mark of devotion. After completing the Govardhan parikrama, Sharma will visit the Shrinathji Temple at Poonchri Ka Lautha and offer prayers.

The Chief Minister will also pray for India’s growing global stature under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will seek divine blessings for the vision of a “Developed Rajasthan.” According to the schedule, Sharma will leave Poonchri Ka Lautha at 10 am and depart for Jaipur shortly after.

Recently, his wife Geeta Sharma and son Ashish Sharma completed a 21-kilometre dandavat parikrama at Govardhan. They later offered prayers at the Shrinathji Temple.
