Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Responds to Social Media Criticism Over Musi Project

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has responded to the flak he has been facing on social media over the Musi River Rejuvenation project, asserting that the initiative is aimed at enhancing Hyderabad’s image and ensuring long-term urban development. Addressing concerns, he said criticism on digital platforms should not overshadow the larger public interest behind the project.
Mr. Revanth Reddy emphasised that the Musi project is designed to transform the polluted river into a sustainable urban asset, improve environmental conditions, and create better living spaces for residents. He assured that the government is fully committed to providing maximum compensation and rehabilitation support to families affected by the project. The Chief Minister said affected households would be resettled with dignity and given adequate financial assistance.
He also accused certain groups of spreading misinformation to create fear among residents. The government, he said, would engage with stakeholders, maintain transparency, and address genuine grievances. The Chief Minister reiterated that the Musi rejuvenation initiative would play a key role in Hyderabad’s future development and environmental restoration.
