Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee has made a bold prediction ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
He said the TMC will win at least 214 of the 294 seats.
This will be one seat more than its 2021 performance.

Banerjee made the statement during a rally in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas.
He accused the central NDA government of targeting West Bengal unfairly.
He claimed the Centre blocked funds for road projects and rural employment schemes.

The Diamond Harbour MP also criticised the Special Intensive Revision of voter lists.
He said the process aimed to deprive poor citizens of voting rights.
Banerjee alleged the exercise was rushed and poorly planned.

He blamed the BJP for creating confusion during the revision process.
He claimed the chaos led to several deaths across the state.
The Election Commission released the draft voter list on December 16.

The list removed over 5.8 million names due to death, migration, and other reasons.
Banerjee said his fight against these forces starts now.
He urged party workers to stay united and alert.

He ended his speech with a clear message.
TMC will improve its 2021 tally in the next election.
