World Largest Shivling Reaches Bihar with Devotional Celebrations

World Largest Shivling arrives in Bihar’s Gopalganj amid grand welcome

The World Largest Shivling reached Bihar on Saturday and received a grand welcome in Gopalganj district. People gathered in large numbers to see the historic arrival and offered prayers along the route. Devotees showered flowers, performed aarti, and raised slogans of “Har Har Mahadev” as the sacred symbol entered the district.

The World Largest Shivling is 33 feet tall and weighs around 210 tonnes. Artisans carved it from a single black granite stone in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. The work took several years to complete and involved skilled craftsmanship and careful design.

After beginning its journey from southern India, the Shivling passed through several states before reaching Bihar. Authorities made special traffic arrangements to ensure its smooth movement. Religious groups and local residents joined hands to welcome the sacred structure.

The Shivling will be installed at the upcoming Virat Ramayana Temple in Kaithawalia village of East Champaran district. Organisers said the installation will become a major religious event and attract pilgrims from across the country.

Local leaders called the arrival a proud moment for Bihar. Many believe the temple and the Shivling will boost religious tourism and bring new recognition to the region.
