A lottery was conducted in Hyderabad on Tuesday to allot 111 residential flats in Gachibowli, attracting 1,325 eligible applications, officials said. The draw was held in a transparent manner in the presence of senior officials to ensure fairness in the allotment process.
The flats, developed by a government housing agency, are intended to provide affordable housing to eligible beneficiaries in one of the city’s rapidly developing areas. Applicants had registered earlier under the notified housing scheme and were screened to ensure compliance with eligibility norms.
Officials said the strong response reflects the high demand for housing in Gachibowli, driven by its proximity to IT hubs, educational institutions, and major infrastructure projects. Successful applicants will be informed individually and guided through the next steps, including payment schedules and documentation. Unsuccessful applicants may be considered for future housing projects as and when they are announced.
