A shocking murder case from Meghalaya will feature in the new true crime documentary ‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’, premiering on January 9, 2026. The series examines real cases where wives allegedly killed their husbands, focusing on the circumstances and reasons behind each crime.

The first episode highlights the story of Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi, a couple from Indore. During their honeymoon in Meghalaya’s Sohra region in May 2025, they went missing. Police discovered Raja’s body in a deep gorge the following month. Investigators suspect that Sonam and her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, planned and carried out the murder. This case shocked people across the country.

Following the Meghalaya story, the series will cover four other high-profile cases that drew national attention. These include the Meerut blue drum case, the Bhiwani influencer case, the Mumbai (Nalasopara) tile case, and a Delhi electric shock murder case. Each episode explores personal conflicts, emotional pressure, and power struggles that may have led to these crimes.

The creators said they want the series to go beyond surface-level reporting. They aim to raise awareness about relationship dynamics, family disputes, and emotional factors that can escalate into violence. Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer at &TV and Hindi business head of the OTT platform, said the show seeks to encourage discussions on these sensitive issues.

The documentary will include interviews with investigators, journalists, and relatives, giving viewers a detailed look at the events and motives behind each crime. With real-life accounts, the series promises to provide gripping and informative storytelling. Viewers can watch ‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’ on the OTT platform starting January 9.
