Rahul Gandhi Labels BJP as ‘Bhrasht Janata Party’, Criticises State Governments
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, dubbing it the “Bhrasht Janata Party” and criticising the performance of its double-engine governments in several states. Speaking at a public event in New Delhi, he highlighted multiple incidents of alleged governance failures, including the murder of Ankita Bhandari in Uttarakhand, the Unnao rape case in Uttar Pradesh, and deaths caused by contaminated drinking water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi argued that these incidents reflect systemic neglect, corruption, and inability to ensure public safety under BJP rule. He accused the party of prioritising political gains over the welfare of citizens and called for accountability from both state and central authorities.
The Congress leader reiterated his party’s commitment to strengthening law and order, ensuring basic services, and addressing social injustices. His remarks come ahead of key state elections, as the opposition seeks to mobilise public sentiment against the BJP’s governance record.
