Police in Warangal busted a kidnapping racket and rescued five children following a swift operation on Friday. Two persons were arrested in connection with the case, while efforts are on to trace others suspected to be involved in the crime.
According to the police, the accused had allegedly kidnapped children from different areas with the intention of exploiting them for illegal activities. Acting on specific information, special teams conducted raids at multiple locations and safely rescued the minors. The children were later handed over to the Child Welfare Committee for care and rehabilitation.
Superintendent of Police said timely intelligence and coordinated action helped prevent further harm to the victims. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused targeted vulnerable families and lured children away under false promises. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway to dismantle the entire network.
