Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Friday said continuity in governance was crucial for sustained economic growth and investor confidence. Recalling the 2019–24 period, he said frequent policy changes and uncertainty had forced several industries to move out of the State, resulting in job losses and slowed development.
Addressing an industry interaction in Vijayawada, Mr. Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh, under the present double-engine government, was witnessing a decisive shift towards stability, transparency, and long-term planning. He noted that the government had introduced transformational reforms across sectors, especially in information technology, electronics, and manufacturing, to make the State business-friendly.
The Minister said improved ease of doing business, faster clearances, and infrastructure development were restoring investor trust. Andhra Pradesh was now emerging as a preferred investment destination, he added, with major national and global companies showing renewed interest. Sustained governance and consistent policies, he said, would ensure inclusive growth and employment generation across the State.
