Allegations against coalition leaders and legislators in Andhra Pradesh have caught the attention of the Jana Sena leadership. The party has initiated a survey to evaluate the performance of its MLAs across constituencies. Reports from this survey were recently submitted to the party high command, leading to an important review meeting in Mangalagiri.
Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan chaired the meeting with the party’s legislature wing. He met each MLA individually for 5 to 10 minutes and discussed development works undertaken in their constituencies since the coalition came to power. Sources said he questioned legislators about specific allegations made against them and sought clarifications.
The review was aimed at understanding how effectively MLAs have been delivering on promises and handling constituency-level issues. Party insiders revealed that Pawan Kalyan wanted first-hand feedback on governance and public outreach. The focus remained on accountability and transparency within the party ranks.
Interestingly, the Jana Sena chief is said to be considering a ranking system based on survey findings. Each MLA may be graded according to performance, public feedback, and handling of allegations. The move is being seen as a strict message to lawmakers to stay focused on people’s needs.
