Hyderabad: Visiting beaches has always been a distant dream for Hyderabad residents, as the city is far from the coastline. People often travel to Goa, Visakhapatnam, or Kerala to enjoy the sea, while some with bigger budgets even visit international beach destinations. However, this situation is about to change with a unique project being planned in the city.
Soon, Hyderabad will have its very own artificial beach. The state government has approved the project, which will be set up at Kotwalguda. Unlike natural beaches, this one will be man-made but promises to give visitors the same experience of waves, sand, and relaxation. Officials clarified that it is not a prank but a real development initiative.
The artificial beach will be developed under a government–private partnership model. Spread across 35 acres, the project is expected to cost around ₹225 crore. Construction is scheduled to begin in December.
The beach will feature floating villas, luxury hotels, wave pools, theaters, and food courts. Once completed, Hyderabadis will no longer have to travel far to enjoy beach vibes. Families can spend weekends at this destination within the city, combining entertainment, relaxation, and tourism.
