US Congressman Rich McCormick said India brings far greater investment value to the United States than Pakistan. He made the remarks during a CSIS event on January 12. McCormick said Pakistan does not attract or contribute major investments. He contrasted this with India’s expanding economic engagement.

McCormick said India continues to grow as a global force. He described the country as emerging as a dominant regional power. He also noted the rising influence of India’s middle class in global markets.

He praised India’s talent base. He said Indian professionals contribute strongly across industries in the United States. He warned that Washington could face serious consequences if it distances itself from India. He added that strong ties would ensure peace and prosperity for both nations.

Democratic Congressman Ami Bera supported the broader message. He said trade and tariff disputes have not weakened long-term cooperation. He stressed that the strategic partnership remains strong.

Bera said US companies continue to invest heavily in India. He noted the absence of similar large-scale investments in Pakistan. Both lawmakers agreed on the need for sustained cooperation. Bera said both countries are focused on long-term goals rather than short-term disagreements.
