The NDA’s seat-sharing debate has gained momentum ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Arun Bharti, Bihar in-charge of Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), said no final decision is made yet. He confirmed that the party has already informed the BJP of its expectations. This includes both the number of seats and the list of constituencies.
Bharti said LJP (Ram Vilas) wants between 43 and 137 seats. He dismissed all rumors of a fixed deal. According to him, the official announcement will come only after a mutual agreement.
This election is historic for the party. Since its creation in 2000, LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest a Bihar Assembly poll with Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU) for the first time. Bharti said talks are active and details will be revealed at the right moment.
Political discussions are also hinting at wider alliances. Speculation suggests Chirag Paswan’s party may coordinate not only with BJP, but also with JDU and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha.
