Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar launched a sharp attack on the RJD and Congress during a rally in Gayaji on Friday. Speaking about the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, PM Modi said RJD and Congress were against it because many of their leaders were either in jail or out on bail. The Bill seeks to remove any Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or minister who remains in jail for more than 30 days on serious charges.
PM Modi accused RJD of treating the people of Bihar only as a vote bank. He said corruption was the hallmark of their rule and no major development projects were completed during their governments.
On the issue of illegal immigration in Bihar, PM Modi warned that demographic changes in border districts were dangerous. He alleged that RJD and Congress support infiltrators for political gain. “We will not allow infiltrators to snatch away the rights of Bihar’s people,” he declared.
The Prime Minister also listed new development projects. He announced 16,000 pucca houses in the Magadh region and promised housing for every poor family. Modi said the NDA government was strengthening railway infrastructure and creating new jobs in Bihar.
