The Supaul kidnapping case has created panic in the district after a Class 11 student was kidnapped in broad daylight. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at Basbitti Chowk, a busy market area under Sadar police station limits. The Supaul kidnapping was caught on nearby CCTV cameras.
According to family members, the student had gone to the market on his motorcycle to buy daily-use items. As he was preparing to return home, several men arrived in a Scorpio vehicle. They stopped him, beat him badly in public, and forced him into the car.
Local shopkeepers tried to understand what was happening but could not intervene due to fear. The kidnappers fled the spot within minutes. The victim’s motorcycle and slippers were later found lying on the road.
After receiving information, the student’s father rushed to the police station and filed a complaint. Police teams immediately began scanning CCTV footage from the area. Officers are also checking vehicle movement and questioning locals.
Police officials said the motive behind the kidnapping is still unclear. Raids are underway at possible locations. The incident has raised serious concerns about public safety in Supaul.
