Tej Pratap Yadav has demanded a CBI inquiry in the Rohtas Girl Dead Varanasi case. He said the Rohtas Girl Dead Varanasi incident raises serious questions and needs an impartial investigation by a central agency.
The case involves a 17-year-old girl from Rohtas district in Bihar. She was staying in a girls’ hostel in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where she died under suspicious circumstances last year. The incident sparked outrage among her family and local residents.
Tej Pratap Yadav wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He urged them to hand over the case to the CBI to ensure fair justice.
He said the girl’s family doubts the local investigation and feels helpless. According to him, only an independent probe can uncover the truth and punish those responsible. He also stressed that crimes against women must be handled with seriousness and transparency.
The family has been demanding justice for months. Political leaders and social groups have also raised concerns over the pace of the investigation.
The case continues to draw attention across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, with growing pressure on authorities to act decisively and restore public trust.
