YSRCP President Jagan to Launch Padayatra Across Andhra Pradesh
YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced plans to undertake a padayatra (foot march) across Andhra Pradesh. He said the march is aimed at connecting with the people and raising awareness about issues faced by citizens under the current coalition government.
Jagan accused the state administration of arbitrary governance, alleging that the government is misusing the police and filing cases against political opponents to suppress dissent. He claimed that these actions are harming democracy and affecting public trust in governance.
The padayatra is expected to cover multiple districts, allowing Jagan to interact with citizens directly and highlight the YSRCP’s concerns about law and order, development, and welfare issues. Party supporters have welcomed the move, saying it will strengthen Jagan’s presence in the state ahead of future elections.
Political analysts say the march could intensify competition between the YSRCP and the ruling coalition.
