Tirumala all set to celebrate Ratha Saptami on January 25
Tirumala is preparing to celebrate the grand festival of Ratha Saptami on January 25. This festival is also known as the “Mini Brahmotsavam” and is one of the most important events at the Tirumala temple. Thousands of devotees are expected to visit the hill shrine on this special day.
The main attraction of the festival will be the celestial procession of Lord Malayappa Swamy. The Lord will be taken out on seven different vahanams (divine vehicles) in a single day. The processions will begin early in the morning at 5.30 a.m. and continue till 9 p.m. They will pass along the four mada streets surrounding the temple.
Each vahanam has religious importance and attracts large crowds of devotees. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made special arrangements for crowd control, security, sanitation, and drinking water to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration.
