SIT Chief Issues Notice to Retired IPS Officer Over Allegations

A retired IPS officer, Praveen Kumar, has been served a notice following allegations against SIT Chief V.C. Sajjanar. The notice was issued on January 23 by the Commissioner of Police and SIT Chief himself.
Praveen Kumar had claimed that Mr. Sajjanar was involved in seven criminal cases. He also demanded that another Special Investigation Team (SIT) be set up to investigate the SIT chief.
The notice asks Praveen Kumar to respond to these allegations and provide details supporting his claims. Officials said the action is part of standard procedures to ensure that public accusations are verified before any further steps are taken.
The development has attracted attention in Hyderabad, as SIT Chief Sajjanar is a senior police officer involved in high-profile investigations. Authorities emphasized that all inquiries will follow legal procedures and maintain transparency.
