20,000 Gather at Adikavi Nannaya University to Celebrate 150 Years of Vande Mataram

Around 20,000 people, including students and members of civil society, gathered at Adikavi Nannaya University to celebrate 150 years of the song “Vande Mataram”. The event was held near Rajamahendravaram and was attended by Minister Kandula Durgesh, who joined the historic rally.
A huge national flag measuring 25,000 square feet was displayed during the celebrations, creating a striking visual of patriotism. The participants sang “Vande Mataram” together, showing unity and love for the country. The rally also included speeches and cultural performances highlighting India’s freedom struggle and the importance of national pride.
Minister Durgesh praised the students and citizens for actively participating in the event. He said such celebrations help younger generations understand the history and values of India. The program ended with calls to continue promoting national unity and patriotism across Andhra Pradesh, making the 150-year celebration of “Vande Mataram” a memorable and inspiring occasion.
