CGC University Mohali celebrated India’s 77th Republic Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotic fervor, and grandeur. The entire campus reflected the spirit of unity, democracy, and national pride. CGC University celebrated 77th Republic Day as a tribute to the values of the Indian Constitution and the faith that every citizen places in the Republic.
Colonel Daljit Singh Cheema (Retd.) attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. His inspiring presence motivated students and reinforced the importance of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation. Students, faculty, and staff participated wholeheartedly, making the occasion memorable.
The event began with the ceremonial hoisting of the Tricolour. As the national flag soared high, everyone sang the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and reverence. The NCC Cadets presented a spectacular parade. Their disciplined march, synchronized drills, and impressive formations captivated the audience, symbolizing the commitment of India’s youth toward national service.
Additionally, cultural programs enriched the celebrations. Students performed patriotic songs, dances, and skits that highlighted India’s freedom struggle and democratic values. The university leadership addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of equality, justice, liberty, and fraternity. They urged students to use their talents and knowledge to contribute to building a progressive and inclusive ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
The event concluded with a pledge to serve the nation and uphold democratic principles. CGC University reaffirmed its dedication to shaping responsible citizens who will safeguard India’s values and actively participate in nation-building.
