Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that a government that disappoints followers of Sanatan Dharma will never return to power. He was speaking at an event in Ahmedabad.

Mr. Shah said that followers of various Sanatan traditions had waited for a long time after Independence for a government that would respect their faith and govern according to its principles. He emphasized that giving importance to Sanatan Dharma is not only a matter of faith but also of cultural and social responsibility.

The Home Minister added that people expect governments to uphold values, traditions, and practices that are part of India’s heritage. He said a government that ignores these expectations risks losing trust and support among citizens.

Mr. Shah’s remarks highlighted the political significance of religious and cultural sentiments in India. He called for policies that align with Sanatan Dharma while promoting national unity and development.
