Telangana Minister Seetakka has urged officials to take up immediate repairs of rural roads and culverts damaged by recent heavy rains. During a teleconference on Panchayati Raj roads, she revealed that 1,291 locations were affected, with damages estimated at ₹374 crore. Of this, ₹22.71 crore has been set aside for temporary repairs, while ₹352 crore will be needed for permanent reconstruction.

She informed that connectivity to 14 villages had already been restored but stressed that wider restoration work must start without delay. Seetakka directed officials to prioritize both short-term and long-term rehabilitation, ensuring smooth access for residents.

The minister also asked local authorities to track weather conditions closely and safeguard infrastructure against future rainfall damage. She highlighted that quick action would restore mobility, support rural livelihoods, and improve safety for people in flood-affected areas.
