The Telangana DGP on Thursday reviewed security arrangements for the upcoming Medaram Jatara, one of the State’s largest tribal festivals. He highlighted the use of AI-led policing to ensure smooth management and safety for thousands of devotees.
During the inspection in Medaram, the DGP said modern technology would play a key role in crowd monitoring, traffic management, and emergency response. AI tools, he explained, can help predict crowd movements and detect potential risks in real time.
Officials said multiple layers of security, including checkpoints, surveillance cameras, and rapid response teams, are being deployed across the festival area. Coordination with local police and disaster management teams has been strengthened.
The DGP also emphasized training personnel in using AI-based monitoring systems efficiently. Public cooperation, he noted, is crucial for maintaining order during such a large-scale event.
He assured that security measures would be continuously updated based on real-time data. With AI-led policing at the forefront, authorities aim to make the Medaram Jatara safe, orderly, and hassle-free for all visitors.
