India has strongly denied Pakistan’s claim that it is behind recent unrest in Balochistan and trying to disturb peace there. New Delhi called the accusation “baseless” and said Pakistan is using such claims to distract from its internal problems.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India rejects the charges and urged Pakistan to focus on solving the long‑standing issues faced by people in Balochistan instead of making unfounded claims. He also pointed to Pakistan’s record of human rights abuses, suppression, and brutality in the region.
The latest tension follows violent incidents in Balochistan where militants attacked security forces, and Pakistani military operations reported many deaths, including soldiers and militants. Pakistan’s army had alleged that the violence was supported by India, but India has denied any involvement.
India’s response came amid a long‑standing dispute between the two countries and reflects ongoing diplomatic tensions over security and peace in the region.
